"The city that never sleeps," New York is arguably the greatest city of all time. The vast center of business, finance, the arts and international relations, it is also home to millions of people - with a population larger than most states in the country. In the "roaring twenties." also known as the Jazz Age, New York's finest faced the new wave of crime that accompanied Prohibition: sleazy speakeasies and bootlegging operations. But they were aided in their pursuit of gangsters by Henry Ford's Model TT. The double T indicated that this was the truck version of Ford's legendary Model T. Available in several body styles - from Open Cab to Platform Body - the Model TT had a four-cylinder engine that produced 20hp @ 1600 rpm. The face of law enforcement was changing across the country, and the automotive age was becoming an important part of that change. The Model TT was a popular choice for police departments seeking to take advantage of the new age.
